Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Trustedcopy collects, why, and — most importantly — what we deliberately do not keep. Our architecture is built to hold as little as possible.

The short version

We do not store your documents, and we cannot read them. When a document is registered or verified, it is processed in the moment and immediately discarded. What remains is an irreversible fingerprint — a one-way value from which the document and its contents cannot be reconstructed.

What we collect

  • Account information — name, email, organization, and, for issuers, the identity and credential details needed to verify you.
  • Fingerprints — the irreversible values that let us match a submitted document to a registered original. A fingerprint is not the document and contains none of its contents.
  • Verification results and metadata — the verdict, timestamp, and a label you choose. We retain the result, never the document.
  • Billing information — handled by our payments provider; we store only what's needed to operate your account.
  • Usage and device data — standard logs to keep the service secure and reliable.
  • Website analytics — on our public website (not the product), we use third-party analytics and business-audience tools that may identify the ORGANIZATION a visitor is likely from, based on network information. This is used to understand which kinds of organizations are interested in Trustedcopy. It does not identify you personally, and it does not apply to documents, fingerprints, or verification results.

What we never collect or keep

We do not retain the documents you register or verify. We do not extract, index, or store their contents. Because a fingerprint is one-way, neither we nor anyone who obtained it could recover the underlying document.

How we use information

To operate the rail — register documents, return verdicts, verify issuer identity, process payments and payouts, secure the service, and communicate with you. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us operate (for example, our payments and infrastructure providers), when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users. A verdict discloses only the verified identity of the issuer and the facts we verified — never the contents of a document.

Retention

Documents are discarded immediately after processing. Fingerprints and verification results are retained to keep the rail functioning (so a document remains verifiable over time). Account and billing records are kept as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us to exercise them. Note that deleting a fingerprint may make previously registered documents no longer verifiable.

Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, and the data-minimizing architecture described above. No system is perfectly secure, but the less we hold, the less there is to lose.
